    Can’t count how many times I’ve walked behind someone when it was really cold in December and they say something along the lines of “GLOBAL WARMING!? YEAH, OKAY AL GORE…”

    Don’t worry, Nik. They’ll catch on once the seas are too acidic to support our food chain.

    I figure as long as the people who snark on global warming in the winter get really alarmed about it in the summer, they’re being consistent and that’s okay with me.

    What?

    Linking to this cartoon will take less than 140 characters. Thank you.

    I’m really not looking forward to what happens with the environment in the next 20+ years. This clears things up for me pretty nicely, thanks Brad.

    Request, please make your next comic about something to look forward to in the future!

    Funny how the last frame could apply to a lot of subjects… smile

    This is a great theory but it’s already been rejected by the NOAA (a pro-AGW science organization) Reference 2nd and 3rd paragraphs: http://www.climatewatch.noaa.gov/2010/articles/forensic-meteorology-solves-the-mystery-of-record-snows. While we have had a lot of snow, generally moisture is acquired nearby or from the west through the jet stream. Large moisture movements from the warmer south are negligible.

    If this were true, how come deserts are not covered in 100 ft. of snow? they have lots of warm air and tropical islands in the middle of the ocean surrounded by water and warm air are still not under large glaciers. the weather changes normaly. A scientic study was done of past weather history and big weather events from the past. back to the beginning of records. Nothing going on now is out of the ordinary. it is just the new cycle. calm down guys, the sky is not falling. The truth is that global warming did not pan out as eveyone expected so they changed the name to “global climate change”. this was done to protect the not so innocent.

    I don’t mind your global warming theories, but can you at least be consistent?  I’ve made a screenshot of your cartoon so that 3 years from now, when there is record low snowfall, and you’re making a new cartoon about how that TOO is because of global warming, I can refer you back to this cartoon.  I know you’re not a climate expert, so why so quick to regurgitate the latest global warming hype?  Warmer weather = global warming.  Cooler weather = global warming.  No snow = global warming. Lots of snow = global warming.  AHHHHHGGGHH!  Evidence should shape our convictions.  Not the other way around.  I’m a big fan of your work, by the way!

    @ Jacob, that’s assuming this website is around in 3 years.  For a couple of years people were positive we would have record low snow falls each year.  Since that hasn’t happened, people have had to come up with a completely contradictory explanation.  Some people need to feel as if they have complete control of their surroundings or need to explain every detail in life.

    @Eric

    Right? Wouldn’t that be nice.

    Instead, in the Summer, if you say the record heat is global warming, they say, “It’s Summer, it’s supposed to be hot.”

    Ostriches with their heads buried… if ostriches do that.

    It all seems a bit baloney to me, obviously there are effects but nothing so major yet.

    It’s called “weather”. The hottest day recorded was over a hundred years ago and they used to grow grapes in Scotland. Here have some koolaid.

    I can refer you back to this cartoon.  I know you’re not a climate expert, so why so quick to regurgitate the latest global warming Directorio gratuito
