Okay… I stumbled away from this page without leaving a comment… And it took me to the page you used in this. I took it as a sign that if I didn’t come back here, something terrible would happen.
That is all.
I am inspired by the site and the comments to invest in a company that makes lcd wipes. As a hands on real estate investor, my first comment when I heard about the iPad was that I would smudge the screen.
Thanks for pointing out such an insanely dumb design flaw. And kudos for providing the download. But I really don’t think designer’s should have to adjust their designs to compensate for the iPad’s misgivings. It’s bad enough we have to deal with IE, but now this?
Kristof, iPads are generally only used by professional engineers and designers so don’t bother about making your site compatible for iPads. I would worry more about making mobile versions.
Not to mention accessibility for handicapped viewers which so many sites just don’t bother with today :((
Wow, so the ipad renders everything right? There should be a filter that randomly generates smug placement or is there a science to that? keyboard placement maybe. ——-
I am so thankful for the growing trend in mobile web browsing. It has made it so easy to land new clients. Nobody else in my area is offering mobile website design to their customers (who are quickly becoming my customers).
